KITTRELL-Mary Ann Edwards Brame, 80, a resident of 5920 Raleigh Road, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018.Born in Vance County on December 16, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Plummer Edwards, Sr. and Jettie Coghill Edwards.
She was much loved by her family and all who knew her.She loved her family better than herself.Throughout her life, she selflessly gave her time, her many talents, and her treasures.Mary Ann always made time to listen, time to prepare countless meals for others, and bake thousands of loaves of banana bread to share. She made time to tirelessly serve in her church, and until her later years, made gifts for her kids, grandkids, and friends.She went above and beyond in every aspect of her life. During her 37 year career with the telephone company, she had numerous promotions and dear friends to count among her accomplishments when she retired as District Manager in December 1995. She was also a member of North Henderson Baptist Church and the Edith South Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 am at North Henderson Baptist Church by the Rev. John Marks Sanders.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Adrian Wayne Brame of the home; three daughters, Jet Ayscue Anderson of Kittrell, Adrian Brame Woody (Wayne) of Oxford, and Kim Brame McGimsey (Jim) ofRaleigh; seven grandchildren, Thomas Bryant Anderson, Jr., Jenna Lynn Anderson, Kyle Richard McGimsey, Isabelle Brame McGimsey, Anna Grayson Woody, Ruffin Wayne Woody and Drew Beckett Woody; and one sister Jenny Bridges (Jimmy) of Kittrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Neleine Satterwhite; two brothers, M. P. Edwards, Jr. and Willie Joe Edwards; and her son-in-law, Thomas Bryant Anderson, Sr.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 until 11 am at North Henderson Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.At other times they will be at the home of Adrian Woody at 310 Woody Lane, Oxford, NC27565.
Serving as pall bearers will be Mike Satterwhite, Bill Satterwhite, Tommy Satterwhite, Tim Bridges, David Edwards, and Larry Brame.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice
