HENDERSON- Mary Ann Sparks Harrison, 89, of West Hills Drive, died Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at WakeMed North in Raleigh. Born July 25, 1934, in Alcorn, Co., MS, she was the daughter of the late Robert Luther Sparks and Mary Spurlock Sparks of New Albany, MS and was the widow of William Ernest “Ernie” Harrison, Jr. She was a member of Henderson Church of Christ. Mary Ann and Ernie served as campground hosts at Satterwhite Point and Bullocksville Campgrounds. She enjoyed camping, boating and time spent with her family members. She formerly worked at The Masonic Home For Children in Oxford. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 22, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Brother Curtis Nelson. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens. Mrs. Harrison is survived by three sons, James Robert Harrison (Dale) of Oxford, William David Harrison (Kim) of Youngsville, and John Anthony Harrison (Marcia) of Georgetown, SC; eight grandchildren, Dr. William Thomas Harrison (Jessica), Victoria Moser, Courtney Hollinger (Jeremy), Megan Brandon (Chris), Hunter Harrison (Kelsie), Rachel Dereventsov (Anton), Jonathan Harrison and Kaitlyn Harrison; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Ferra-Sue Thomas (Pat) of Sugarland, TX; and a foster sister, Pat Brewer (Dale) of Searcy, AR. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at J. M. White Funeral Home on Monday. Serving as pallbearers will be William Harrison, Hunter Harrison, Jonathan Harrison, Jeremy Hollinger, Anton Dereventsov, Chris Brandon, and Jayden Eastman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Henderson Church of Christ, 1211 Dorsey Ave., Henderson, NC 27536.
