HENDERSON- Mary Bailey Collie, 80, of 1245 Debnam Ave, died Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Maria Parham Health.Born in Franklin County on October 18, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Pete Bailey and Bessie Carter Bailey and was the widow of Robert Clayton Collie.She was retired from Harriet and Henderson Yarns, Inc.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM by Rev. Tim Short in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Lee (James) and Loretta Collie of Henderson; a son, Ricky Collie (Tammy Perkinson) of Henderson; one brother, Wilbur Bailey of Spring Hope; 14 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 19 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Clavin Collie and Chris Eugene Collie (Ruby); three sisters, Lucy Pearce, Essie Mae Whitley and Willie Helen Jones; and two brothers, Jasper Bailey and Johnny Bailey.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Collie, Matthew Perkinson, Keith Lee, Daniel Lee, Glenn Short and Ed Winston.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00PM until 8:30PM at J.M. White Funeral Home; at other times they will be at the home.
