HENDERSON-Mary Elizabeth Satterwhite, 94, a former resident of S. Cooper Drive, died Monday, October 16, 2017, in a local nursing home.Born on November 28, 1922 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Hertford Ayscue Satterwhite and Fannie Ellington Satterwhite.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 am at Sunset Gardens by Pastor Will Breedlove.
She is survived by two sisters, Thelma S. Watkins of Henderson and Ossie S. Bivins of Myrtle Beach, SC.She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Sunset Gardens.At other times they will be at the home of Thelma Watkins, Courtyard Apartments 11, 630 S. Cooper Drive, Henderson.
Serving as pall bearers will be Lawrence Harris, Clay Kearney, Carlton Satterwhite, Calvin Adcock, Mike Breedlove, Tony Harris, Larry Hendrick, and Chris Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a church or charity of one’s choice.
