HENDERSON- Mary Joan Joanne Knight Faucette, age 81, a resident of 1245 Park Avenue, died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on February 13, 1932 in Vance County she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Albert Knight, Sr. and Mary Helen Lane Knight.She was retired from the former Laurens Glass Company and a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM by Rev. Johnny Yount at Sunset Gardens.
Mrs. Faucette is survived by three sisters, Betty Knight Jones of Henderson, Priscilla Knight Butler and husband Bruce of Fayetteville and Carolyn Knight Johnson of Durham; one brother, Mickey Knight of Henderson; many nieces and nephews; her faithful companion, Tea Cup; her special care givers and many friends at Kerr Lake Rehab Center.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Albert Knight, Jr. and Bobby Lane Knight; and her beloved niece Renee Victoria Jones.
The family will receive friends following the service at Sunset Gardens.At other times they will be at the home of Betty Knight Jones, 1207 Parham Street, Henderson, 27536.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel UMC Ladies Group, C/O Maria Ellis, 218 Garrett Rd. Henderson, NC 27537.
