Mary Jane Krohn passed away peacefully in her home on January 21, 2019 at the age of 94, with her children by her side.Born on September 23, 1924 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late George McAuliffe and Edith Block McAuliffe.

Mary Jane was the loving mother of four daughters, Beth Coffel of Wake Forest, Kathy Blair of Raleigh, Valerie L. Hellwig (Mark) of Kildeer, IL andCindy J. Smith (Andy) of Hernando, FL; two sons, Tom Krohn (Jackie) of Henderson and Terry Krohn (Kimberly) of Fairfax, VA; cherished grandmother ofEric Giesler, Michelle Sharpe (Brent), Brian Hellwig (Jenny), SamanthaChancellor (Brent), Christopher Hellwig, Drew Smith (Andrea), Timothy Troncoso (Jessica), Jennifer Blair, David Blair, Sabrina Krohn, Kelly Porche (Blake), Michael Krohn, Lauren Krohn and Morgan Hellwig; proud great grandmother of Allison, Colin, Drake, Jane, Harper, Cooper, Levi, Olivia, Lucy, Baker and Blakely. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her adoring spouse, Virgil L. Krohn, her youngest daughter, Diane Mari Krohn, her dear sister, Doris Elizabeth Koepke and two sons-in-law, Donald Coffel and Thomas Blair.She was also the fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

A Mass will be held Friday, February 15, 2019 at 11:00 AM, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 520 W Holding Ave, Wake Forest, NC 27587, Rev. James Magee, celebrant. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Church commencing at 10:15 AM.

Interment will be at Quantico National Cemetery Quantico, VA at 12 Noon on Friday, April 26, 2019.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004, or to a charity of ones choice.
