Mary Lou Parrish Renn, 94, of 838 Hwy 158 Bypass, died Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Franklin Oaks Nursing and Rehab Center.Born in Vance County on September 8, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Winburn Pink Parrish and Willis Coble Parrish and the widow of Jack Renn.Mrs. Renn was a retired nurse, working for the former Watts Hospital, Dr. James M. Tolson, and Harriett and Henderson Yarns, Inc. A memorial service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Johnny Yount.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Grissom Hale and husband Jimmy of the home; her step-son, Michael Renn and wife Rosemarie of Henderson; two granddaughters, Kristy Whitley and husband Teddie and Ellen Wright and husband Chad; five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Whitley, Jackson Whitley, James Carter Whitley, Beau Wright, and Sarah Wright; and her sister-in-law, Lovenia Parrish.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Becky Partin; and two brothers, Alfred Parrish and Lester "Cotton" Parrish.
The family will receive friends after the service on Monday at J.M. White Funeral Home; and at other times they will be at the home.
