Mary Nell Eaves Green, age 96, a former resident of 238 West Balview Ave, died Tuesday, December 04, 2012, at the Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Burlington, NC.Born in Vance County on December 11, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Charlie O. Eaves and Addie Lou Ayscue Eaves, a name and family lineage she cherished.She was a retired elementary school teacher, a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority, and a member of Miles Memorial Methodist Church in Norfolk, Va.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Liberty Christian Church by the Rev. Tammy Ayscue.Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia by the Rev. John Haynes.
She is survived by her daughter, Edith G. Pierce and husband Victor Pierce of Cary, two grandchildren, Whit Pierce and wife Courtney, Justin Pierce and wife Elizabeth, one great grandson, Evan Fulton Pierce, and many nieces, nephews and friends who she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fulton M. Green and her daughter, Mary Lou Green.
The family will receive friends Friday prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Liberty Christian Church.
