Mary Tant Riggan

Mary Ann Tant Riggan, age 79, a resident of 3207 Egypt Mountain Road, died Friday, July 4, 2014 in a local nursing home.Born in Franklin County on October 13, 1934, she was the daughter of the late James Atlas Tant and Vall Beal Tant.Mary was a retired Health Care Technician at Murdoch Center in Butner and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Spring Hope, NC.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 11 am in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Sam Brewer.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Riggan of the home; four sons, Curtis Lee Tant, Sr. of Youngsville, Joseph Avon Wilson of Henderson and Shelton Ray Wilson of Townsville, and Andrew Earl Riggan, Jr. of Atlantic Beach; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Riggan of Fuquay Varina; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 7 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 3207 Egypt Mountain Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Joseph Wilson, Jason Wilson, Tyler Riggan, Mike Riggan, Nick Cornish, and Duane Pernell.
