Maxine Tharrington Newton

HENDESON-Maxine Tharrington Newton, age 93, a former resident of Carroll Road, died Sunday, June 9, 2013, in a local nursing home.Born on November 27, 1919 in Dewitt, Va., shewas the daughter of the late Mack Tharrington and Josie Smith Tharrington.She was a longtime retired employee of Com-Fo Hosiery Mill, and was of Baptist faith.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. Ralph McGowan.
There are no survivors.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Newton and one brother, Russell; and one sister Ruth.
