TOWNSVILLE-Melinda Matthews Reams, age 52, a resident of 9445 NC 39 Hwy. N, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at her home.Born on January 16, 1961 in Vance County, she was the daughter of William T. Bill Matthews of Townsville and the late Merna McKinney Matthews.
Memorial services will be held Sunday at 3 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. John Yount.
She is survived by her husband, Michael G. Reams of the home; two daughters, Katlyn Reams and Ashlyn Reams of the home; two sons, Matthew Reams of the home and Jason Matthews of Clarksville, TN; and one sister, Ramona Matthews of Chapel Hill.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 2 until 3 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of her father, Bill Matthews, 15781 Hwy. 39 N.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2418 Blue Ridge Road, Suite 206, Raleigh, NC27607.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
