Merrell Carlton Satterwhite Iii

July 1, 1984 — December 21, 2023

WAKE FOREST-Merrell Carlton Satterwhite, III, 39, a resident of Wake Forest passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Wake-Med Raleigh. Born on July 1, 1984 in Vance County, he was the son of Merrell Carlton Satterwhite, Jr. and Rose Johnson Satterwhite of Henderson. He was employed as a Manager of Compliance Analytics with the State Employees Credit Union Home Office in Raleigh. He was a member of Seven Marks Church in Raleigh. Carlton earned his bachelor's and MBA from East Carolina University. He loved sports and was an avid Duke fan. He loved music of all types, especially live, especially Dave Matthews Band. He could often be found putting on music from his vast record collection and introducing his young sons to one of his life passions. He was kind, compassionate, and always quick to lend a helping hand to others, friend and stranger alike. He deeply loved his wife, Brandy, and his boys; nearly everything he did, he did with them in mind. Carlton was also a phenomenal baker whose specialty was chocolate chess pie, often requested by friends at get-togethers. He was also someone who lived life with excellence: known for wearing three-piece suits to work even in sweltering North Carolina summers, diligent about taking care of his home and his family, and always there to offer friends advice and wisdom. He loved, and he was very beloved. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Clearview Church by Pastor Caleb Baldwin and Dr. Abidan Shah. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Brandy Nicole Satterwhite of the home; two sons, Merrell Carlton Satterwhite, IV and Bennett Brooks Satterwhite of the home; one sister, Heather S. Brame (Greg) of Youngsville; one nephew, Matthew Brame; and one niece, Hailey Brame. He was preceded in death by his sister, Amanda Satterwhite. The family will receive friends following the service at Clearview Church.
