HARRISONBURG,VA-Michael Thomas Pierce, Jr., age 23, a resident of N. Burkwood Court, died Sunday, September 20, 2015.Born on November 29, 1991 in Vance County, he was the son of Cecelia Williamson Wilder of Oxford and Michael Thomas Pierce, Sr. of Harrisonburg, VA.Michael was employed as a shipping supervisor in Harrisonburg.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015, at 11 am at Stovall United Methodist Church by the Rev. John Yount.Burial will follow in the Island Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his stepfather, Dennis Wilder of Oxford, his stepmother, Nicole Pierce of Harrisonburg, VA; four brothers, Tyler Pierce of Oxford, Dakota Pierce and Wyatt Coggins both of Harrisonburg, and Troy Pierce of Asheville;
His maternal grandparents, Dennis and Linda Williamson ofOxford.He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Virginia Pierce; and his maternal grandmother, Ann Hockaday.
The family will receive friends Friday night from 7 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Cecelia and Dennis Wilder, 4025 Shady Brook Drive, Kittrell, NC27544, offCannady Mill Road in Oxford.
