HENDERSON- Michael Ray Winters, 60, of 519 Gillburg Road, died Friday, October 19, 2018 at his home.Born in Vance County on June 14, 1958, he was the son of the late Dorothy Edwards Winters and Odell Winters.Michael was formerly employed with Walmart Distribution Center where he worked as a transportation window clerk.He was a member of Victory Baptist Church where a memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 12:00 PM by Rev. Ricky Easter.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Burgess Winters of the home; two daughters, Tonya Lawless (Curtis) and Terri Winters, both of Henderson; a son, Bryan Winters of Henderson; three grandchildren, Amber, Austin and Callie; one great-grandchild, Tristlan; two sisters, Myra Parnell and Darlene Steed; one brother, Freddie Taylor; and a special nephew, Scottie Stevenson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Winters.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at Victory Baptist from 11:00AM till 12:00 PM.At other times they will be at the home of Tonya and Curtis Lawless, 86 Bliley Lane, Henderson, NC 27537.
