Born in Granville County on July 4, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Vance Pace and Lillian Raines Pace, and was the widow of Wyatt Graham Evans.Mrs. Evans was a member of Harriett Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 pmat J. M. White Funeral Home by the Rev. Will Breedlove.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda E. Patterson and husband, J.T. of Clayton; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Evans and Jasper Evans; her daughter-in-law, Bonnie Evans; one grandson, Kenneth Patterson; two brothers, Ed Pace and Joe Pace; and three sisters, Mabel Grissom, Ruby Jenkins, and Eunice Grissom.
The family will receive friends Monday prior to the service from 1 until 2 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home
Serving as active pall bearers will be Chad Morris, Garrett Barneycastle, William Robinson, Garrett Patterson, Dennis Patterson, and Wesley Evans.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lottie Moon Christmas Offering through Harriett Baptist Church, c/o Marlene Hayes, 935 S. Carolina Avenue, Henderson, NC27536.
