Millie Sullenberger Beverage

Millie Sullenberger Beverage, 94, of Richmond, VA and Henderson, NC passed away peacefully on January 21, 2023 at the home of her daughter in Henderson, NC. Millie was born in Monterey, VA on July 25, 1928 to the late Samuel Scott Sullenberger and Mabel Elizabeth Herold Sullenberger. She was preceded in death by her dear husband of 70 years, Charles Byron Beverage, 95, who had been her heavenly angel since March 19, 2020. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sue Scott Sullenberger. She grew up in Monterey, VA and graduated from Monterey High School and attended Mary Washington College. Millie and Charlie lived in Richmond, Va for over 60 years. She was a homemaker, avid reader and wonderful cookie maker. Her family and friends will forever remember her as sweet, thoughtful and kind. Millie was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Wednesday Bible Study and Circle 2 and 9. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Beverage Falkner and husband, Henry of Henderson, NC; two sons, Charles Byron Beverage, Jr. and wife, Karen of Richmond, VA and Luther Scott Beverage and wife, Jennie of Monterey, VA; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life for Millie and Charlie will be held at a later date at Monterey Cemetery, Monterey, VA.
