HENDERSON-Miranda Pendergrass Cross, age 47, a resident of 353 Southall Street, died Sunday, October 28, 2012, at her home.Born on January 23, 1965 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lindburg Pendergrass and Florence Ayscue Pendergrass.
She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church where she was a church soloist.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Johnny Yount.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Cross; one son, Joseph Crawford J.C. Finch and wife, Shannon, and granddaughter, Makayla Finch of Oxford; two step-sons, Mike Cross and Ben Cross; two brothers, Jeff Pendergrass of Pinehurst, and Charles Pendergrass of Henderson; and her aunts, Marthie Hardee, Carolyn Ayscue, Shelby Allen, Joyce Stone, Betty Tart, and Mary Brame.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 353 Southall Street.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Jason Pendergrass, Cody Pendergrass, Adam Pendergrass, Robert Maddox, Craig Tunstall, and Lanny Kinsey.
