MYRA H. BROOKS
HENDERSON- Myra Huff Brooks, age 89, a resident of 390 Bellwood Drive, died Friday, September 03, 2010, at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born in Vance County on February 6, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Walter Huff, Jr. and Emma Rowland Huff, and was the widow of Wesley Hall Brooks.She was a graduate of Zeb Vance High School, attended Peace College and graduated from the Henderson Business College.
Myra was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was very active before her declining health.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 11:00 am at Burchwood Cemetery in Roxboro by the Rev. George D. Speake.
She is survived by one daughter, Banna Brooks of Henderson; and her devoted caregivers, Gracie Scales, Rosemary Hayes, Helen Roberson, Peggy Ellis, Queen Burchette, and Betsy Terry.
The family will receive friends at her home at 390 Bellwood Drive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 114 Church Street, Henderson, NC, 27536.
