Nancy Grace Bell Rogers, 80, of Medical Court, died Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Maria Parham Health.Born in Vance County on October 8, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Carroll Bell and Myrtle Elizabeth Grissom Bell.Nancy had been employed at the former Peoples Bank and Trust. She was the co-owner and operator of Creative Playschool and previously owned her own antique store.She was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church for many years before moving her membership to The Church of The Holy Innocents.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM at The Church of The Holy Innocents by Rev. Donald A. Lowery.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by her son, Michael F. Rogers and wife, Camilla of Henderson; her brother, Joseph Carroll "J.C." Bell, Jr. and wife, Nancy of Henderson; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Rena Elizabeth "Bebe" Perry; two sons, Samuel Justin Rogers and Matthew Hartwell Wayne Rogers; her sister, Carolyn Bell Sumners and a grandson.
The family will receive friends following the service on Monday in the garden of The Church of The Holy Innocents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Church of The Holy Innocents, 210 S. Chestnut St, Henderson, NC 27536.
