Nannie Lucille Barnett Chappell

HENDERSON-Nannie Lucille Barnett Chappell, age 64, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, was called home to be with Jesus on October 25, 2011.
Born on February 28, 1947 in Henderson, NC, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Agnes Riggan Barnett.Mrs. Chappell was a member of Crystal River Church Of God.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip Wayne Chappell of the home; one daughter, Frances Lawson Vargas of Henderson; two sons, Billy Lawson and Billy Lawson, Jr. both of Henderson;
one sister, Gail Waddell of Henderson; one brother, Grover Barnett of Oxford; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren whom she loved very much.She was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Resendiz.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Charles Ray Anderson and the Rev. Charlie Chappell.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Gail Waddell at 609 Roberson Street.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Sammy Hicks, Jr., Jamie Hicks, Kim Roberson, Joe Lewis, Robert Chappell, Gary Ayscue, Curtis Allen, Antiono Moreno, and Steve Lowman.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Nannie B. Chappell Funeral Fund, c/o J. M. White Funeral Home, 60 Zeb Robinson Road, Henderson, N. C.27536.
The family would also like to thank the employees of Welcome Home Care Agency and the employees of Maria Parham Medical Center for all their help and kindness during Nannies illness.
