HENDERSON- Nicholas Paul Epanchin, age 23, a resident of 155 Lakeview Drive, died Saturday, April 26, 2014.Born in Durham on June 1, 1990, he was the son of Paul Vladimir Epanchin and Barbara Brantley Epanchin of the home.He was employed at Vescom as a shipping agent and was a student at Vance Granville Community College.Nick had a love and passion for the sport of hockey and was a member of the Fury hockey team in Apex.Nick was a valuable and contributing member of his team and was instrumental in their winning the League Championship last year.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11 AM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Bruce Copeland and James Stainback.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Jon Paul Epanchin of Wilmington; and his maternal grandmother, Alta K. Brantley of Henderson.
The family will receive friends Thursday and Friday from 12:00 till 9:00 PM and following the service on Saturday, at the home, 155 Lakeview Drive, Henderson.
