RICHMOND- Nina Barnes Mustian, daughter of John Marshall Barnes and Mabel Height Barnes, died on June 8, 2019.She was predeceased by her parents; husband of 67 years, Edward Louis Mustian, Jr.; sister, Marjorie McCrackan; and brother, John Barnes.She is survived by three sons, Edward Louis Mustian III (Carolyn), William Marshall Mustian (Terrie), Paul Barnes Mustian (Alisa); seven grandchildren, Laura Rose (Tim), Andrew (Christin), David (Lauren), Rachel (Tracey), Emily, Jamie, and Louis; four great-grandchildren, Theo and Alice Rose, Luke and Landon Mustian.Born June 24, 1927 In Henderson, NC, she graduated from Zeb Vance High School, then graduated from Women’s College at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro in 1948 with a degree in math and physics.Her first priority was being a stay-at-home mom for her sons.Later, she did trust and tax work for Central Fidelity Bank, and at the age of 91 was in her 38th year of doing accounting for her son’s and grandson’s dental practice.She was active in her church, Welborne United Methodist Church, for over 60 years.She loved playing bridge and loved spending time at N. Myrtle Beach.She took great joy in hosting the entire family for holiday meals.The family will receive friends at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, VA 23229 on Sunday, June 16, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m.Funeral services will be conducted at Welborne United Methodist Church, 920 Maybeury Dr., Richmond, VA 23229 on Monday, June 17, at 11 a.m. with interment at 3:30 at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, 6535 Raleigh Rd., Kittrell, NC 27544.Contributions may be made to Welborne United Methodist Church, or to the Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
