Norma Lee Fox

HENDERSON- Norma L. Fox, 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Henderson, on March 8, 2025. Born on May 27, 1939, in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, she was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of many. She was an avid animal lover throughout her entire life. She is survived by her five children: Richard Fox of Severn, Maryland; Earl Fox of Queenstown, Maryland; Joi Sandlin (Dennis) of Henderson, NC; Russell Fox of Callahan, Florida; and B. Scott Fox (Merril) of Fernandina Beach, Florida. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Gloria Smith of Williamsburg, Virginia. Norma was a proud and loving grandmother to 12 grandkids: Daniel Sandlin (Aarika) of Henderson; Brianne Montgomery (Paul) of Ellicott City, Maryland; Spencer Fox (Erin) of Fernandina Beach, Florida; Sawyer Fox (Tiffany) of Yulee, Florida; Samuel Fox (Hailey) of Yulee, Florida; Derrick Fox of Mandarin, Florida; Brandon Fox (Tammy) of Valencia, California; David Fox of Linthicum Heights, Maryland; Craig Fox (Bekah) of Pikeville; Ryan Fox of Ferndale, Maryland; Emma Fox of Ferndale, Maryland; and Cody Fox of West Virginia. She is also survived by her 12 great-grandchildren —Gavyn, Neleh-Kate, Levi, Rhett, Brett, Hallie, Kaia, Kaison, Evan, Morgan, Weston, and Reef—along with nieces, nephews, and many other cherished family members and friends. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Gertrude Weeks; her brother, Norman Weeks; her sister, Betty Hood; and other beloved family members and friends who welcomed her home with open arms. She attended Central Baptist Church. Following her wishes, no services will be held. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Joi Sandlin, on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 5 PM to 7 PM, at 86 Sam Brummitt Road, Henderson, NC, 27537.
