Norma Wade Harris

HENDERSON-Norma Lee Wade Harris, age 107, a former resident of Nutbush Road, died Wednesday, January 6, 2015, in a local nursing home.Born in Granville County on August 14, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Jackson Lee Wade and Sudie Weaver Wade, and was the widow of Clarence Yates Harris, Sr.
Mrs. Harris was the oldest living member of Island Creek Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 17, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Island Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Marshall Neathery.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Patricia N. Curl, Irvin Y. Nutt, and Eugenia H. Frank; and three great grandchildren, Lynne Curl, Chris Curl, and Lydia Leggett.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her children, Lucille Harris Nutt and Clarence Yates Harris, Jr.
