Norma June Hughes Mann, 83, a resident of Lightwood Lane, died Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her home.Born in Fredericksburg, Virginia on November 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late James McCain Hughes and Laura Holloway Hughes.She was a retired LPN at Maria Parham Hospital where she worked for 42 years, and was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. For many years Norma and her husband John were fondly known as "Mr. and Mrs. Claus", bringing Holiday cheer to children and adults in our community.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Episcopal Church by the Rev. Nancy Allison.
She is survived by her husband of over 63 years, John Edward Mann, Jr. of the home; her daughter, Kimberly M. Twisdale (Lee) of Townsville; her son, Stacy Mann (Wanda) of Timberlake; her daughter-in-law, Lisa Mann of Middleburg; her son-in-law Joey Kearney of Centerville; seven grandchildren, Kelly Twisdale, Laura Breese, J. T. Mann, Megan Woodlief (Graham), Ashley Matthews (Justin), Hannah Kearney, and Celia Mann; four great grandchildren; and her brother, William "Billy" Hughes (Joyce) of Fredericksburg, Virginia.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela M. Kearney; her son, John E. Mann, III; and one sister and two brothers.
The family will receive friends following the service on Saturday at St. John’s Episcopal Church.At other times they will be at the home.
