Norman Ivy Haithcock, Jr.

OXFORD- Norman Ivy Haithcock, Jr., 82, of Little Mountain Creek Road, died Monday, July 3, 2023 at Granville Medical Center. Born September 23, 1940, in Warren County, he was the son of the late Norman Ivy Haithcock, Sr. and Lillian Estelle O’Dey Haithcock. He was a member of Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, a member of the church council and formerly served as Sunday School superintendent. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Daniel Blasky and son-in-law, Jim Sirko. Burial will follow in the Haithcock Family Cemetery in Warrenton. Norman is survived by his wife, Mary B. Haithcock of the home; three daughters, Ann Haithcock Hamrick (James) of Henderson, Marcia Haithcock Pegram (Keith) of Henderson, and Martha Haithcock-Sirko (Jim) of White Pine, TN; a son-in-law, Mike Clopton of Henderson; two step-sons, Joseph C. Satterwhite of Stovall and Harvey Satterwhite, Jr. of Franklinton;16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tommy Haithcock (Jane) of Henderson and Johnnie Haithcock (Teresa) of Goldsboro; and two sisters, Patricia Fanion of Oxford and Ruth Hudson of Henderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Anna L. Haithcock; a daughter, Norma H. Clopton; and three sisters, Linda H. Escamilla, Barbara H. Serbin and Jean H. Williams. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home and at other times at the home, 3154 Little Mountain Creek Road, Oxford, NC 27565. Serving as active pallbearers will be Johnnie Haithcock, Tommy Haithcock, Justin Mieir, Brandon Hayes, Todd Hamrick, Lucas Hamrick and Scott Hamrick. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be James Hamrick, Keith Pegram, Jim Sirko, Mike Clopton, Aron Clopton, Bob Mieir, Harvey Satterwhite, Jr. and Clinton Satterwhite.
