Oshie Dillard Jackson

HENDERSON-Oshie Dillard Jackson, age 82, a former resident of 1405 Old Epsom Road, died Saturday, October 27, 2012, in a local nursing home.Born on June 12, 1930 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Cleveland C. Dillard and Prudie Currin Dillard.Mrs. Jackson was retired from Harriett & Henderson Yarns, Inc. and was a member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church and attended several other churches.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Joy In The Lord Baptist Church by Pastor L. T. Harris.A private burial will be held in the Dillard Family Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Arthur Furman Jackson, Sr. and Robert Shelton Jackson of Henderson; one sister, Frances W. Gibson of Henderson; two grandchildren, Thomas T.J. Jackson and Furman Jackson, Jr..
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Eva Robinson, Annie Mae Adcock, and Irene Holmes; and two brothers, Charles Dillard and William Dillard.
The family will receive friends at the home of Furman Jackson at 1405 Old Epsom Road, and on Saturday prior to the service from 10:30 until 11:00 AM at Joy In The Lord Baptist Church on Debnam Avenue.
