Pamela Hedrick Franklin

HENDERSON- Pamela Jeanne Hedrick Franklin, 69, of Oak Street, died Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at a local nursing home. Born January 22, 1955 in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late Darene Calhoun Hedrick and Forrest Rhodes Hedrick. She formerly worked as the office manager for the Chamber of Commerce. Pam was a member of New Sandy Creek Baptist Church where she was active in many roles including Mission Friends leader. Her faith led her into missionary support including missions work in Texas. She was very artistic and enjoyed being a demonstrator with “Stampin’ Up!” A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Tim Burgess and Chaplain Joe Franklin. Pam is survived by her husband, Bruce L. Franklin of the home; her son, Jeremy Scott Franklin of Lexington, VA; four sisters, Cheryl H. Brooks and husband, Mike of Greensboro, Susan Franklin and husband, Joe of Traveler’s Rest, SC, Kristi Hedrick of Henderson, and Kathy Gates and husband, Tom of Prosper, TX; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 1699 Weldon’s Mill Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
