Pamela Jean Horton

HENDERSON- Pamela Jean Davis Horton, 69, a resident of S. Cooper Dr., passed away Monday, September 7, 2026 at Duke University Medical Center. Born December 14, 1956, in Durham Co. and raised in Oxford, and was the daughter of the late Jack Davis.

A memorial service will be held Friday September 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jeff Prewer. Pamela is survived by four daughters, Connie Barbee of Henderson, Vickie Meador (Richard) of Oxford, Cynthia Wright (Mario) of Henderson, and Pam Aiken of Oxford; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and her special friend, Robert West of the home.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ellen Davis; one son, Timothy Wayne Abbott; two grandchildren, Noah Daniel Meador and Lyndsey Rose Tant; and two brothers Jackie Davis and Ricky Davis.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of Brooke and Jonathan Bass, 4570 Ashley View Lane, Oxford, NC 27565.
