KITTRELL-Pamela Kay Pendergrass, age 44, a resident of 1717 Hwy. 1 South, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at the home of her mother.Born on January 15, 1969 in Vance County, she was the daughter of Katie Stallings Hite of Kittrell and Larry Wayne Pendergrass of Kittrell..She attended South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was a medical assistant at Triangle Orthopedics in Oxford.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.Burial will follow in the Middleburg Cemetery.
She is survived by the worlds greatest mother, Katie Hite of Kittrell; the best sister, Kim P. Franklin and husband Kevin of Rocky Ford; her paternal grandmother, Shirley Pendergrass of Rocky Ford; one niece, Vanessa Hedgepeth; one great nephew, Hunter Ray; four Godchildren, Katelann Stanton, Nikki Henderson, Breana Chavis, and Kaelyn Chavis; and her companions, Babe, Lucy, & Susie.She was preceded in death by her step-father, Oscar "Pop" Hite; one brother, Larry Wayne Pendergrass, Jr.; and her adopted brother, Justin Alexander.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of her mother, Katie Hite at 1735 Hwy. 1 South in the Kittrell Community.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Eddie Shearin, Tim Pendergrass, Luke Pendergrass, Dalton Pendergrass, Jimmy Goodson, Charles Holtzman, Capers Pendergrass, and Jay Ellis.
Serving as honorary pall bearers will be employees of Triangle Orthopedics.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
