Born on July 21st, 1946 in Orange County, NC she was the oldest of three children. She was retired from Camper Products, where she worked for a number of years. Patty attended the Gospel Independent Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda McFaddin and husband Dean, three sons, Donald Duke and fianc April; Ronald Shealy and wife Joan; and James Shealy and fianc Nicky all of Henderson. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Dean McFaddin Jr. and wife Meridith, Guy McFaddin, Heather McFaddin, Hillary Shealy, Logan Duke and one great-grandchild Mason Bolton, all of Henderson.
Patty is also survived by one sister, Shirley Pitman and husband David and one brother, Danny Thomas and wife Gail.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elliott Duke, a son Johnny Shealy Jr. and her parents, Dan and Ellen Thomas.
The family will receive friends Thursday night, 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home located in Henderson.The funeral service will be held at the Gospel Independent Baptist Church and conducted by Robert Green former Pastor, at 2 PM Friday 24th. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens in Henderson.At other times the family will receive friends at the home of her daughter Linda McFaddin located at 3090 Lynnbank Rd, Henderson, NC.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Dean McFaddin Jr., Guy McFaddin, David Pitman, Jeffrey Pitman, Joseph Thomas, Jonathan Thomas, Dan Thomas, and Wes Horton.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their visits, cards and prayers during the time of her illness.
