Patricia Harrison Fleming

RALEIGH-Patricia Ann Harrison Fleming, 78, of Leesville Road, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Born June 13, 1947 in Winter Haven, FL, she was the daughter of the late Grady and Ernestine Harrison, who were both strong in their faith and deeply shaped the woman she became.

Pat found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She loved gardening, playing the piano and most recently discovered a peaceful new passion, bird watching. Above all, her greatest joy came from her grandchildren, who she loved deeply. Pat built a fulfilling career with a large pharmaceutical company, Burroughs Welcome, where she worked for the Vice President of Research for many years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home with a private burial following in Young Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday beginning at 1:00 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home and following the burial at 4:00pm at the Drewery Fire Department.

Pat is survived by her loving husband, Vernon Fleming of the home; her daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Chris Thoman; her granddaughter, Zoe Thoman and fiancé, Jarred Goldsmith. She is also survived by her sister, Alica Lawrence and husband, David; her brothers, Billy Harrison and wife, Jean Marie, Sonny Harrison and wife, Louise, as well as their children and grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. Pat is also lovingly remembered by her step-children, Lisa Long and husband, Tim and Todd Fleming and wife, Adrienne and their children whom held a special place in her heart.

Pat will be remembered for her beauty, kind spirit, sweet smile, and the thoughtful way she loved others.

Her family finds comfort in her favorite scripture, John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeith in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” We know that Pat is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, reunited with loved ones who went before her. We know this goodbye is only temporary, and we will see her again in Heaven one day.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Fleming, Billy Fleming, Tim Long, Glenn Long, David Usher and Robert Ellington.
