HENDERSON- Patricia Ann Grant Emmons, 65, formerly of Southside Estates Court, died Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at a local nursing home.Born in Staten Island, NY on July 18, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Catherwood and Myrtle Shott Clayton.
Patricia was a former Henderson Police Officer, a former Deputy of the Vance County Sheriff's Department, and was the first woman ever hired by the City of Henderson Fire Department. She was a retired truck driver with Cowen Trucking Company.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the home, 196 Southside Estates Court, Henderson, NC 27537.
Mrs. Emmons is survived by her daughter, Melissa Fisher of the home and her son, Shane Grant of the home; three sisters, Loretta Roberts of Pennsylvania, Christine Brower and Sandra Peterson of Florida; two brothers, Roger Ernest and Michael Ernest of Florida; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
