Patsy Norwood Collier

Patsy Ann Norwood Collier, age 72, a resident of 1017 Hughes Street and formally of Gilburg, died Monday, December 11, 2017, at her home.Born in Durham County on June 27, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Mary Lea Leona Norwood Southhall, and was the widow of Ernest Henry Collier.
Patsy was a member of Freedom Life Church of God where she worked in the nursery.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm at Freedom Life Church of God by the Rev. Jeff Prewer. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by four daughters, Betty Velazquez, Connie Lassiter, Barbara Pendergrass, and Dorothy Pierce (Steven) all of Henderson; one son, William Henry Pendergrass (Margo) of Henderson; one sister, Virginia Kittrell (Frank) of Henderson; and one brother, Stewart Norwood(Bonnie) of Alabama; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm at Freedom Life Church of God. At other times they will be at the home.
Servicing as active pall bearers will be David Gupton, Jesse Gupton, D.J. Pearce, Joshua Pearce, Adam Pegram, Bradley Pierce, Steven Pierce, Colton Ellington, and Steven Peoples.
