KITTRELL-Patsy DeeAnn Wortham Edwards, 76, a resident of 1794 Egypt Mountain Road, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Duke University Hospital.Born in Vance County on July 9, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Paul Wortham and Letha Wallace Grissom, and was the widow of Woodrow Wilson Edwards, Jr.Patsy was retired from Americal and was a member of Freedom Life Church Of God.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 8, 2017, at 6 pm at Freedom Life Church of God by the Rev. Jeff Prewer.A private entombment will be held at Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by one daughter, Teresa Garrett (Eddie) of Kittrell; two sons, Jimmy Edwards of Kittrell and Robert Edwards (Marita) of Jacksonville; two sisters, Linda W. Brown of Menifee, California and Deloris W. Peltola of Henderson; one step-sister Vernell Champion of Henderson; one brother, Jerry Wayne Grissom of Henderson; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday night immediately following the service at Freedom Life Church of God.At other times they will be at the home at 1794 Egypt Mountain Road, Kittrell.
