HENDERSON- Patsy Reavis OBrien, age 66, a resident of 3480 Glebe Road, died Thursday,
July 25, 2013, at her home.Born in Granville County on February 26, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Reavis and Louise Harris Reavis, and was the widow of Joseph Sidney Joe OBrien.Patsy was a homemaker and a former teachers assistant at Kerr-Vance Academy.She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church where she was a former Deacon, having served as Chairman, and a Sunday School teacher for many years, and known by many as Aunt Pat-Pat.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Marshall Neathery and Dr. Gerald Wilson.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Cindy O. Jones and husband, Chris, of Oxford; one son, Craig OBrien and wife, Laura of Raleigh; two sisters, Sylvia R. Parham of Oxford, and Nancy R. Wade and husband, Jimmy of Raleigh; one brother, Robert Clifton Cliff Reavis and wife, Sandra of Henderson; five grandchildren, Sydney OBrien, Brenna OBrien, Sean OBrien, Regan OBrien, and Rob Jones; three sisters-in-law, Gertrude O. Chandler and husband, Harold, Jane O. Norwood and husband, Herbert and Linda M. OBrienIn addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Walter Patrick Pat OBrien, and Edgar Parham.
The family will receive friends Saturday night from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at her home at 3480 Glebe Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Chris Parham, Lee Wade, Bryan Reavis, Jason Reavis, Danny Joe Norwood, Tony Norwood, Robin Chandler, Lee Chandler, and Kamron Price.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, c/o Cindy Jones, 100 Hicksboro Road, Henderson, NC27537.
