Patsy Moss Simms

HENDERSON-Patsy Moss Simms, age 79, a resident of 1215 David Avenue, died Friday, August 11, 2017 at Sentara Meadowview Terrace in Clarksville, Virginia.Born in Vance County on June 24, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Hilmon E. Moss and Mary Greenway Moss, and was the widow of Billy Newcomb Simms.
Patsy was a retired Purchasing Agent at the former Laurens Glass Company and was also formerly employed with Vance County Mental Health.She was a member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church where she was a member of the Baptist Women and Choir.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1l AM at Poplar Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Tony Evans.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by one brother, Jerry Moss, (Peggy) of Henderson; sister-in-law, Jean Sims of Henderson; brother-in-law, G. W. Sims of Raleigh; four nephews, Stephen Moss (Stephanie), Brandon Moss, Carson Sims (Ann), and Scott Sims; and one niece, Amy Moss.
The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall at Poplar Creek Baptist Church.At other times they will be at the home of Jerry and Peggy Moss at 1645 Hicksboro Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Stephen Moss, Brandon Moss, Carson Sims, Scott Sims, Scott Greenway, and G. W. Sims.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Poplar Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 1371 Poplar Creek Road, Henderson, NC27537. .
