Henderson- Patsy Ruth Taylor Wells, 82, of Allen Road in the Dabney Community, died Monday, May 4, 2020 at Maria Parham Health. Born in Granville County on July 7, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Sumrell Taylor and Ruth Gregory Gooch Taylor and was the widow of Robert Guy "Bobby" Wells.
She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church for over 60 years where she was active as a deacon, choir member and member of the Adult Sunday School Class.She retired from Belk where she worked as a clerk.
A private graveside funeral service will be held Friday at 11 am at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church by Rev. Bob Inskeep.
She is survived by four daughters, Robin Gay Wells, Brenda Faye Wells, and Tamra Elizabeth Wells of Henderson, and Mary Helen Wells Bullard (Richard) of Youngsville.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Colenda and a brother, William Paul Taylor.
Anyone wishing to view Mrs. Wells’ body may do so at J.M. White Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
