Paulette Pendergrass Arrington

HENDERSON- Mary Paulette Pendergrass Arrington, 83, of 22 Jeffress Drive, passed away Friday, June 26, 2026 at UNC Rex Hospital surrounded by family. Born September 27, 1942 in Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Beadie Ayscue Pendergrass and Solon Pendergrass and was married to her husband, Marion Arrington for 67 years.

She graduated from Aycock School in 1960. She retired from Custom Molding and was a caregiver to her mother for ten years. Paulette attended City Road Methodist Church for many years.

She loved to fish with a cane poles, cut her grass, plant and work her garden, planting flowers, cooking, canning vegetables and making her prize-winning jellies.

Funeral services will be conducted by Gary Tillotson at 11:00am Wednesday, July 1, 2026 in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and family for an hour following the service at J.M. White Funeral Home; at all other times they will be at the home at the home, 22 Jeffress Drive, Henderson NC 27537.

She is survived by her husband Marion Phillip Arrington, one daughter, Sandra Carey (Bryan) and one son Phil Arrington (Diane) all of Henderson; her grandchildren, Bryan Carey Jr, Daniel Carey, Melissa Arrington, Brooke Marsalone, Nate Arrington, Brandon Arrington, Rachel Arrington and Blake Arrington all of Henderson; and her great grandchildren, Tripp Carey, Rebecca Lynn Carey, Jaci Tant, Emma Arrington, Aubree Marsalone, and Kylie Marsalone all of Henderson.

In addition to her parents, Paulette was preceded in death by a son, Stacey Arrington; three sisters, Mildred Pendergrass Berryman, Shirley Pendergrass, and Ruby Harris; and two brothers, Billy Pendergrass and George W. Abbott.
