ENDERSON-Pauline Daniel Hester, 94, a resident of Kerr Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died Thursday, February 4, 2016.Born in Granville County on February 12, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Daniel and Rebecca Eakes Daniel, and was the widow of James Allen Hester, Sr.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 8, 2016, at 2 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
Mrs. Hester is survived by four daughters, Carolyn H. Watkins (Billy), Helen H. Pendergrass (Bobby) and Barbara H. Nelson of Henderson and Brenda H. Richardson of Stem; two sons, James Allen Jimmy Hester, Jr. (Sharon) of Oxford and William Tommy Hester (Myra) of Henderson; fourteen grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Donald Wayne Donnie Hester; and one granddaughter, Carol Ann Jackson.
The family will receive friends Monday prior to the service from 12:30 until 2 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Bobby and Helen Pendergrass at 5135 Warrenton Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be her grandsons, Mike Watkins, David Nelson, Benji Nelson, Allen Pendergrass, Mickey Hester, Dwayne Hester, Daniel Hester; and her great grandson, Justin Roberson.
