Peggy Ann Haskins Hicks

OXFORD-Peggy Ann Haskins Hicks, 85, a former resident of Oxford, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at Franklin Oaks Nursing & Rehabilitation in Louisburg.Born on July 14, 1933 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Sam Haskins and Mamie Roberts Haskins, and was the widow of James Steven Hicks.
Mrs. Hicks was formerly employed as a secretary for Billy Watkins and Hopper and Hicks Attorneys-at-Law.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at11 am in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Oxford.
She is survived by one brother, Philip H. Haskins of Boydton, Virginia.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday-from10 until 11 am at J. M. White Funeral Home.
Serving as pall bearers will be Philip Haskins, Jr., Michael Haskins, Mitchell Haskins, Shawn Haskins, Jeffrey Haskins, Gary Haskins, and John "Buddy" Brown.
