HENDERSON- Mrs. Peggy Overton Ball, age 68, a resident of 1644 Poplar Creek Road, died Monday, September 28, 2015 in a local nursing home.Born in Granville County on March 7, 1947, and a lifetime resident of Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Cleveland Turner Overton, Sr. and Goldie Bray Overton.She was a member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Poplar Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Tony Evans.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Ball is survived by her husband, Kenneth B. Ball of the home; two sons, Kenneth B. Barry Ball, Jr. and wife, Deana of Youngsville and C. Scott Ball and wife Jeannie of Henderson; a sister, Betty O. Norwood of Henderson; three brothers, C.T. Overton, Jr., Billy Overton and Michael Overton all of Henderson; and two grandchildren, Joshua Ball and Kendall Ball.
The family will receive friends following the service on Wednesday in the fellowship hall of Poplar Creek Baptist Church. At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Will Currin, Will Pernell, Lee Overton, Melvin Overton Jr., Jason Stokes, and Allan Lunsford.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Poplar Creek Baptist Church, 1371 Poplar Creek Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
