HENDERSON- Mrs. Peggy Jean Pendergrass Ellis, age 69, a resident of 4696 NC Hwy 39 S, died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Duke University Medical Center.She was born in Vance County on December 19, 1946 and was a member of Freedom Life Church of God.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Freedom Life Church of God by Rev. Jeff Prewer.
She is survived by her son, Charles C. Loughlin, IV and wife, Stephanie of Henderson and a granddaughter, Brooke Loughlin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Blake Ellis and a son, Kenneth Blake Ellis, Jr.
The family will receive friends prior to the service Tuesday from 1:00 till 2:00 PM at Freedom Life Church of God.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Freedom Life, PO Box 1643, Henderson, NC 27536 or Vance County Animal Shelter, 1243 Brodie Road, Henderson, NC 27536.
