Philip Wade Guin

HENDERSON-Philip Wade Guin, age 59, a resident of 66 Gun Club Road, died Friday, October 31, 2014, at his home.Born in Vance County on July 2, 1955, he was the son of the late Julius Wade Guin and Juanita Greenway Guin.Philip was a graduate of The CulinaryInstitute of Americain College Hyde Park, NY and worked as a sous chef in numerous restaurants. He was a member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church and attended Freedom Life Church of God.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2 pm at Poplar Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Tony Evans and the Rev. Jeff Prewer.
Phil is survived by his brother, Danny Guin and wife, Faye of Henderson; two nephews, Dean Guin and Kevin Guin of Henderson; and his good friend, Dean Firtick.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall at Poplar Creek Baptist Church.At other times they will be at the home of Danny and Faye Guin at 2593 Poplar Creek Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Poplar Creek Baptist Church, 1371Poplar Creek Rd. Henderson NC 27537 or to Freedom Life Church of God c/o Jeff Prewer , 5910 Hwy 39 S., Henderson NC 27537.
