Ralph Bruce Willstaedt

R. Bruce Willstaedt, 80, of Plum Nutty Road, died Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Maria Parham Health.Born in Albany, NY on March 8, 1939 he was the son of the late Dorothy M. Willstaedt and Elmer Ralph Willstaedt.Bruce was retired from the New York State Department of Corrections where he worked as a Deputy Superintendent of Administration.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 4th at 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church by Father Rafael Leon-Valencia.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dianna Simpson Willstaedt; two daughters, Beth Hayden and husband, Bruce and Thersa Willstaedt; two sons, Scott Willstaedt and wife, Kelly and Eric Willstaedt and wife, Teresa; six grandchildren, Heather Hayden, Heidi Hayden, Scott Willstaedt, II, Allison Willsaedt, Justin Willstaedt and Andrew Willstaedt;two great-grandchildren, Gauge Willstaedt and Fallyn Willstaedt; two brothers-in-law, Daniel Simpson and wife. Linda, Geoffrey Simpson and wife. Janet; five sisters-in-law, Janice Fairweather, Pam Plumley, Penny Jenks, Adele Parliman and husband, David, Barbara Jaynes and husband, Charles; andseveral nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Mattero.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 till 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church.
