Randall "Randy" Joe Watkins

HENDERSON- Randall Joe “Randy” Watkins, 69, of N. Lynnbank Road, died Saturday, December 2, 2023 at his home. Born December 29, 1953 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Sally Coghill Watkins Guerrant and John W. Watkins, Sr.. Randy was a Veteran of both the United States Navy and United States Army, serving during Desert Storm and Enduring Freedom and retired from the United States Army with the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of Fuller Chapel Christian Church where a memorial service with Military Honors will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. by Rev. Tammy Ayscue. Randy is survived by his wife, Faye Williams Watkins and his son, Andrew “Andy” Watkins, both of the home; and a brother, Johnny Watkins, Jr., and wife, Vickie of Henderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Watkins. The family will receive friends following the service at Fuller Chapel. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be his military friends and comrades. The family would like to give special thanks to Randy’s longtime caregiver, Joyce Yancey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fuller Chapel Christian Church, 1470 N. Lynnbank Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
