Randolph Goodwin Edwards

HENDERSON-Randolph Goodwin Edwards, age 82, a resident of Senior Citizens Nursing Home and a former resident of South Lake Lodge Road, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at Maria Parham Medical Center. Born on August 27, 1933 in Hertford County, he was the son of the late Owen Edwards and Calla Barber Edwards. Randolph was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean War.He was a retired barber from Friendly Barber Shop and was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 3pm at Union Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Joe Precht.
He is survived by one son, Daniel Edwards and wife Katherine of Asheboro; and their children, Sarah, David, and Michael; daughter-in-law, Barbara Edwards of Buford, GA and her children, Bobby, and Maggie; and his devoted friend, Peggy Stanton of Kittrell. He was preceded in death by one son, John Edwards, father of Bobby and Maggie.
The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall of Union Chapel United Methodist Church.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Union Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o Mildred Ross 908 Avis Lane, Henderson NC 27536.
