HENDERSONRandolph Dennis Mills, III, 37, died Friday, April 27, in Henderson.He was the son of Randolph Dennis Mills, Jr., and Maria Jenkins Mills, both of Henderson.Dolph was born in Greenville, South Carolina, on July 19, 1974.He moved to Henderson with his family in 1975, graduated from Northern Vance High School in 1993, and graduated from Elon College in 1997 with degrees in English and History.Dolph was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Henderson, and was the owner and operator of Consolidated Tree and Haul, Inc.
In addition to his parents, Dolph is survived by his wife, Amy Shende Mills, and his daughter, Shende Parris Mills, both of Raleigh; his brother, James Jenkins Mills, his sister-in-law Holly Sharp Mills, and his nephew, William James Mills, of Raleigh; his mother-in-law, Joan L. Ziegler of Raleigh; his sister-in-law, Jessica J. Shende of Raleigh; and his father-in-law, Dr. Ashok C. Shende, of Bayside, New York.He also leaves behind a large extended family and a host of good friends.
A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 114 Church Street, Henderson, on Monday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m., with the Reverend George Speake presiding.The family will receive friends and family following the service, in the Fellowship Hall of First United Methodist Church.At other times they will be at Dolphs childhood home, located at 1746 Parker Lane, in Henderson.
