Henderson- Randolph Dennis Mills, Jr., 66, of 138 Watson Drive, Henderson, died Monday, March 24, 2014, at his home.He was born at Maria Parham Hospital in Henderson on May 23, 1947, and was the son of the late Dr. Randolph Dennis Mills, Sr., and Marion Callaway Mills, both of Henderson.
Randy was a veteran of the United States Army, and served the country during two tours of duty in Vietnam.He graduated from Campbell College, and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Henderson.
Memorial services will be held at the First Baptist Church on Thursday, March 27, at 11 a.m conducted by Dr. Ronald S. Cava.
He was preceded in death by his son, Randolph Dennis Mills, III.
He is survived by his son, James Jenkins Mills and wife, Holly Sharp Mills; a daughter-in-law, Amy Shende Mills; three grandchildren, Shende Parris Mills, William James Mills, and Lucy Anne Mills, all of Raleigh; two sisters, Jane Mills Hicks and Kathy Mills Williams; a brother, Dr. John Franklin Mills; and an aunt, Hallie Frank Mills Pegram, all of Henderson.
The family will receive friends at the home of Franklin and Janet Mills, 1834 Summitt Road, Henderson, NC.
