KITTRELL- Alton Randall "Randy" Satterwhite, 60, of H.R. Gillis Lane, died Sunday, August 9, 2020 at his home.Born in Vance County on January 29, 1960, he was the son of the late Willard Dorsey Satterwhite and Mary Kearney Satterwhite.
Randy was a retired tobacco farmer and former supervisor with the North Carolina Department of Transportation.He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially trapping.
A private graveside funeral service will be held for the family at the Satterwhite Family Cemetery by Rev. Henry Abbott and Rev. Milton Abbott.
Randy is survived by a son, David Stanley of Henderson; two grandsons, Colt Stanley and Grey Stanley; four sisters, Patricia Satterwhite of Henderson; Rachel Satterwhite of Oxford; Beverly Satterwhite (Greg) of Henderson; and Jeanette S. Stone of Kittrell; two brothers, Jerry Satterwhite (Donna) of Henderson and Michael Satterwhite (Carolyn) of Kittrell; and former wife and friend, Mary Stanley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Satterwhite and a sister, Elizabeth S. Matthews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maria Parham Health Cancer Center Angel Fund, 566 Ruin Creek Road, Henderson, NC27536 to help cancer patients in need in our community.
